Really love when program authors actually explain what is happening behind the scenes like this and even go into details about how they made the small details work.
I may or may not use this program but I did definitely learned another cool thing about Linux just now and that would most certainly be useful to me sometime in the future in an all together totally different context.
Thanks for the software and the explanation!
- penguin_booze 6y agoSeconded. I was pleasantly surprised to see the 'how it works' section. Kudos to the author, and I hope I'll see more of this everywhere.
- sangupta 6y agoOutrun's readme and your comment makes me learn a new thing today: to document how things work in my own projects.
- donpott 6y agoMe too, and I would add that I love it when a name is apt/clever/descriptive. Outrun is like outsourcing for running processes.
- dspillett 6y agoEspecially when I fully understand all the components, but might never have thought to hook them together that way.
