When I was at the top of my game, I knew third semester discrete math proofs like the back of my hand. Not memorized, but really grokked the math behind the proofs. I noticed after I graduated there was a period of time when I would have to concentrate for ten minutes and the epiphany would return. Now, several years later, I’ve entirely lost it.
