I have a pretty in-depth understanding of the NEXRAD WSR-88D weather radar data formats. It's not that it's rocket science, but it's just an insane volume of incredibly arcane data and math. I've learned all of it for a hobby project of mine and I still have a lot more to learn, but I find studying and deciphering it to be strangely relaxing. It's weird.
