If Git uses terms like branch, then why not terms like root?
A lot of talk about master vs main.
But given the context of git why not root?

- zzo38computer 6y agoThe name "trunk" is also used by other version control systems, such as Fossil. Fortunately, as far as I understand it, GitHub allows you to change the branch names; "main" is just the default setting.
