Social media and how to deal with a bunch of distractions?
Quite recently, I began to notice one thing behind me. Almost every day I consume information on social media, such as quora, twitter, reddit, product hunt, and so on, and a lot of time is spent on this. And it would seem that I am subscribed to those topics that are interesting to me, thereby narrowing the amount of information, but still it does not save me from a large stream, especially which can be generated very quickly. I scroll through an endless feed, spend a lot of time to process the content shown to me, but for example, out of 10 articles in the product hunt, there will be only one really important and useful for me, and in the other there will be only a couple of interesting paragraphs. In part, this problem can be solved by digests that would briefly describe the published post / article, and if I am interested in something in more detail, then I could go back to the source and read. But on the other hand, I would like to receive exactly what I like without being scattered and wasting time on something that is not important to me, but if it were also kept in a structured form and in one place, so as not to switch forever from one site to another. This would greatly reduce the time I spend on social media. Please tell us how you consume information from such sites and do you use it in any way further? Is consuming useless and uninteresting content a problem for you, and how do you deal with it?
