Shouldn't you therefore look at and ask the community of PoC what they think as a whole? To me, the article was saying that this holistic consultation was not done. And this has lead to the waste of time, energy and feeling of exclusion. Other comments in this thread have said that this consultation (seems to be limited to employees in Microsoft, etc) has been done... Confirmation bias can be examined rationally. The arguments in favour of this change can be explained away in multiple ways which will override any data that is found.
