I have extensive experience with a nice Roland at a local Fabian. And I recently bought an MH series for home projects with the kids. I’m pleasantly surprised how good the MH is for the money! Assuming $20/birthday present, the machine will easily pay for itself in a year of gift making. Plus I get the kids to help make their friends gifts unique rather than buying something from a store. That is priceless to me!
- AdamJacobMuller 6y agoWhat is a Fabian?
- Symbiote 6y agoPerhaps a typing / autocorrect error for Fablab: https://www.fablabs.io/ https://www.fablabs.io/ In other words, a type of maker space / hackspace.
- matt_the_bass 6y agoYup. Good catch!
- matt_the_bass 6y agoSorry. Should have been fab lab
- supermatt 6y agoWill it register and cut out a print (contour cut)? I love the cameo silhouette for that, but dont see it mentioned for the MH.
- matt_the_bass 6y agoMine does not. I think you would need to step up a level from the MH series with US Cutter. I seem to recollect that was about $100-$150 more for that capability. But check their website.
- matt_the_bass 6y agoThough depending upon your tolerance requirements, you could manually align your cuts to a registration mark assuming your material was inserted squarely.
