I see where you're coming from with this, but this is getting into the realm of social economics and thus politics. To solve the problem you're describing we need to be better at protecting all members of society not in (high paying) jobs, such as universal basic income and, I don't know, actually caring about one another. But I do see your point, and it's an interesting one to raise.
