WHO Points to Wildlife Farms in Southern China as Likely Source of Pandemic
- bloak 6y agoI really don't understand how the word "wildlife" is used in this article. If it's being bred in captivity, on a farm, how is it "wildlife"? Perhaps it's a peculiar technical term or a literal translation of a Chinese expression.
- slightwinder 6y agoWildlife farming means raising of traditional undomesticated animals. So no races breded over a long time, but animals they fetched some years ago from the wild and started using them. For example, foxes are not domesticated, but some people started with breeding them a while ago. This term is not specific to china.
