I have never had a good experience with Scrum, sprints, standups, retros. I mean you can fucking take what I worked on, what I'm working on from JIRA. Why should I waste my time reporting that on a meeting?
Like others said above, Scrum did reduced the time we between when we finish a feature and when it hits production. I like the idea of quick feedback cycle and fast iteration.
But most companies abuse scrum and see sprints as a way to squeeze more out of dev teams. I've been working in a scrum team (leading the tech team as a tech lead, not product owner) for 3 years and I'm burned out now. Trying to get to a different place soon enough.
It is good for the product/managers, but for dev teams it can be bad if not done well.
