Many of Telegram's official clients do not support Secret Chat, an issue which has been open for at least five years now. Their community picks up the slack.
- yewenjie 6y agoTelega.el for Emacs is really cool with some very unique features. https://github.com/zevlg/telega.el https://github.com/zevlg/telega.el
- bordercases 6y agoYes indeed I use it, it doesn't refute my statement.
- tazjin 6y agoWhich ones don't? I used the Android client and telega, both of those do. I believe the iOS one does, too.
- bordercases 6y agoFor sure: Linux.
- tazjin 6y agoI use telega on Linux, I guess this is the Qt-based desktop client?
- bordercases 6y agoPeople keep name-dropping telega but it isn't an official client. I am referring to the official QT client.
- boring_twenties 6y agoThe web client doesn't seem to support it, or at least I can't find it -- it's definitely not in the contact/profile screen like in the Android app.
- f311a 6y agoThat's because there is no support for multiple devices when you use secret chats.
- bordercases 6y agoThat doesn't help if I just want to use one device and yet it still doesn't support secret chat.
