It seems like the children going to school in the dark is the main counterargument. Could schools just start later in the winter or have reduced hours?
Or could we add street lighting?
- ianai 6y agoOr just make their day end earlier. No reason it needs to be a national impact.
- bena 6y agoOr, you know, change the school year so that it occurs in the time of year with the most light.
- ako 6y agoYes, and when winter schedule starts, children will stay in a bed an hour longer, and in springtime, children will have to get up an hour earlier again. What have you gained? Nothing. You've actually made things worse, because now some people get up earlier/later than others, creating confusion amongst people that need to align their schedules.
