Interesting how the word "toxic" is mainstream nowadays. Considering the term originated as a way of describing aggressive/angry kids on the videogame League of Legends.
- blowski 6y agoI’m not sure it originated there. My first manager in the late 90s described one of our clients as toxic, and I don’t think he invented it either.
- jiofih 6y agoIt’s been in use as in “toxic relationship” or “toxic behaviour” for maybe fifty years. If you’re thinking of “salty”... that goes even further back. And both were definitely popular in Counter-Strike a decade before any other game!
