Thanks for noticing and appreciating. It's an iterative process - if you had seen earlier drafts and my notebook, it would be a lot more confusing. I think of it as visual storytelling, and try to pick out the image that explains a certain aspect of the overall narrative. Sometimes it works out pretty well.
