  The US is the most baffling place for me. How can this insanity coexist with the insanity of religious fundamentalism in the same country. It seems to me you are a country of extremes hell bent on tearing yourself apart.

Different areas have completely different and often opposing cultures. Don’t ask me how we’re supposed to efficiently govern that though, because I have no ideas.

  My school used "parent or guardian" back in the 70s and 80s. It's just more accurate and precise: not everybody has a "mom and dad". That's been the case forever. It's really not all that difficult.
