A JRuby and Sorbet Reflection
- funkaster 6y agoJRuby still seems like one of the best rubies around (I use it in all my side projects, and have advocated in the past its use at work). I haven't closely followed the typing advances in ruby: I like what I see in RBS, but I'm not sure how to consolidate (mentally) Sorbet with that. Is the expectation that at some point they will converge? or keep on living as two completely different typing systems?
- setheron 6y agoI'm not sure either. It wouldn't take Sorbet much to support both. Sorbet goes beyond merely typing method signatures since you can add variable typing too which helps the static analysis infer more types.
