Very strange title, I don't understand why people blame "capitalism" for problems like this. Saying "crappy kettles exist because we have a free market" is like saying "murder only exists because we allow people to freely move around". Something being allowed to happen in a system doesn't mean that the system is the thing causing it to happen. "Why are people buying crappy kettles" should be the title.
