These are mine lines of thought as well, although I feel positive (non-rationally, I guess) about how this can develop in the future.
There is just this step of the way where I want to establish a common vocabulary and structure on which we can then build. I've already seen in conversations the will for that and there is a precedent in the opposite direction with some books about manufacturing - The Goal and The Toyota Way - which was very constructive to how we talk about things.
- nzmsv 6y agoNow if I were you I'd go over this whole post again and see if there are any patterns. In this one it is obvious. Almost every single person is telling you "you are ignoring an emotional problem" and you get defensive and talk about books.
- yowlingcat 6y agoI think that's a pretty direct way to put it but I really cannot agree more. I have to believe that OP already knows this and that's why they subconsciously made this thread in the first place. Perhaps this can be the gentle nudge to get them to have the uncomfortable realization with themselves that more drastic and potentially messy (but necessary) action is required.
