I worked for the Apple Store back in the raging iPod days. I was there for iPod Hi-Fi. That was hands down the best audio I ever heard. You could crank that volume to max and the device wouldn’t rattle or sound overblown. It literally was the most amazing sound I ever heard from a speaker. Sadly couldn’t afford one. A few years ago I found a brand new in box Hi-Fi on eBay and snapped it up for a few hundred. I was able to add a wireless airplay adapter using a pi and can push audio to it. Still amazing sound after ten years.
