The magstripe number doesn’t change, so if you get skimmed, you still need a whole new card. There’s nothing special about the physical Apple Card. As for online payments, you might as well use something like Privacy.com that gives you a separate number for each service. That’s better than Apple’s solution, and I’m still not sure why Apple doesn’t do that.
