Show HN: I made a site so that you could get paid through simple messaging
- mechero 6y agoGood idea, congrats! Can the people who post a message also ask for a refund, or is this only limited to the account owner?
- srivatsamudumby 6y agoThanks man :). There are no refunds, because messaging is not a standardised service - meaning senders cannot be assured of a solid deliverable(hence PWYW). Creators might send great responses to cheaper messages, if the message is interesting and might not respond at all for a high paid message if it is something that takes their privacy away.
- bawejakunal 6y agoNice, I tried the demo, seems very similar to https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ Curious if there is something very different from buymeacoffee that I may have missed ?
- srivatsamudumby 6y agoThanks man, yes the UIs look very similar with a text box and PWYW payments, but the value props are different. Buymeacoffee's core offering is accepting donations while ours is messaging.
