Ask HK: what to do if I have 2 hours/day?
I have a cushy job, it's busy, it's crazy, but the last 2 hours of the day, I goof off. I can't leave the office but I have nothing to do.
It's one of those soul-sucking/soul-crushing jobs, so nothing to do to make the company better, or to do a better job.
I usually read HN or Reddit, or write my blog.
What does HN suggest I do? Start a business? Take an online course? Become a memelord?
- CodeGlitch 6y agoHere's what I would do: Read technical books. Practice programming kata. Learn a new spoken-language. Take online courses. Read the source code for open-source projects. Take a walk?
- SMAAART 6y agoThanks. I can't take a walk, I need to stay at my desk. For what's worth it, I am not a programmer (I'm in ops), I can do "some" code, but ...your job is safe with me.
