The liar cares about the truth and attempts to hide it; the bullshitter doesn't care if what they say is true or false, but rather only cares whether their listener is persuaded. 2. He is pathological. He can't stop bullshitting even when it harms him. Other presidents were more calculated. They lied to benefit themselves or their policy. Contrast Trump and Mitt Romney. Trump would never miss a step like that. He would counter with even bigger bullshit.
