Looking at that page, the total downtime was around 27 minutes. Having been through multiple AWS outages lasting many hours, this is not even a blip on the radar. Except for the usual disparaging of all Oracle products, it is a non story .
- nucleardog 6y agoThe fact that it impacted so many regions was kind of informative. Every single AWS post-event report (https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/technology/pes/ https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/technology/pes/) speaks to _a_ region. They design their regions to operate independently. A single fault taking down what sounds like _all_ of Oracle Cloud is... unexpected.
