The other day I went to my parent's place. I literally couldn't turn the lights on because the Google Home there didn't recognise me. Smart things that add value are okay, but smart things with a single point of failure are just stupid.
- vidarh 6y agoThat does indeed seem stupid. There are plenty of smart switches that also have buttons.
- throwaway53453 6y agoTo be honest, I think they've gotten so used to not using the switches they don't realise they're not working. Will be inconvenient if the internet goes down...
