If those were truly "sales", libraries would have no trouble buying those books second-hand, or from middle-men. But you don't own books you "buy" this way.
- AlexandrB 6y agoThe erosion of the first-sale doctrine has been one of the worst side-effects of digital distribution. It's scary how many more rights a customer buying a product had 30 years ago.
