You are gaslighting. These articles are about OpIndia and not Swarajya.
Wikipedia has immense left wing bias just like the NY Times. The NY Times has made colossal mistakes and takens years or decades to rectify them or sometimes just leaves them standing e.g. the Ukraine Famine on 1930 where their reporter just ignored it and took them 50+ years to rectify it.
By your metric the NY Times be black listed on Wikipedia. Newslaundry whom you cite as the source of OpIndia's misdeeds has a huge list of false reporting but they get a pass because of their left-wing orientation.
- DarmokJalad1701 6y agoGaslighting? They publish stuff like this: https://archive.is/QCJ1o https://archive.is/QCJ1o Justifying the actions of cow-vigilantes who go around killing people over cows. How about some blatant communal propaganda? https://archive.is/DDPxZ https://archive.is/DDPxZ Some quotes: "Are Hindus guinea pigs in a “Hindutva laboratory“ crafted by the media?" "What does a ‘Hindutva laboratory’ where Muslims live in perpetual fear of Hindus look like? Does it look like a place where a minor Hindu girl jumps into a well to kill herself after months of gangrape by a neighbouring Muslim family? Where her father is found hanging from a tree on the day she is scheduled to give her statement in the court? Where the local police is found to have sided with the Muslim perpetrators and mistreated the Hindu victims?" "Of the three Muslim men killed by vigilantes in most infamous cases reported from Ramgarh in 2017 and 2018, two had a prior history of cattle theft and slaughter. " Of course these vigilantes killed those dudes, but then these dudes killed cows. So it's all good. Seriously?? Or this: https://swarajyamag.com/politics/ground-report-what-murder-of-a-gau-rakshak-means-for-his-cow-revering-village https://swarajyamag.com/politics/ground-report-what-murder-o... Another quote: "The almost fully Muslim-populated Nuh district is where most cattle thieves in Palwal enter from. It’s a notorious hub of cattle-smuggling besides many other organised crimes." Of course, not all Muslims are bad. The story won't be complete without the token good-guy-minority who obeys the rules: "Mohammad Nizam, who is sitting beside Singh and belongs to a tiny population of Muslims in Sondhad, agrees. 'We eat chicken. We cannot think of touching cow meat,' says Nizam." Who is really gaslighting here?
- haltingproblem 6y agoIndia has hundreds of lynchings every year [1]. Unjustified but India is a weak state. Policing is non existent especially in villages and rural areas. In the absence of the Police people take force into their own hands. Hindus, Dalits, Muslism are all lynched. Selective outrage around the few are great to push the buttons of folks like you or maybe you are part of the problem. I have studied the data on lynchings and this was a media manufactured narrative to get liberal (esp. western) sympathy and eyeballs. This was very similar to what happened in Godhra and its aftermath. 59 Hindus were lynched. There was no media outrage over it. Even now it is claimed by many as an accident. The riots started. The state was weak, it begged for help from neighboring states but got nothing. Gujarat has seen riots for 100s of years. Some riots lasted months [Wikipedia]. But Modi got blamed for it as if these were the first riots ever. He ensured there were no riots every in his tenure decade plus long tenure ever. Got no credit for it. Careers have been made (Rana Ayub) and hundreds of millions of dollars (Teesta) have been raked in over the Gujarat Riots. Rajdeep even apologized for the coverage and all but exonerated Modi: https://metrosaga.com/after-18-years-of-accusations-rajdeep-sardesai-now-says-modi-not-entirely-responsible-for-2002/ https://metrosaga.com/after-18-years-of-accusations-rajdeep-... - KorematsuFred 6y ago> Justifying the actions of cow-vigilantes who go around killing people over cows. This is just ridiculous claim and you are projecting your own thoughts on the media. Cow smuggling in India is very much real and cows are stolen and killed and their legs broken and put in car trunks. This is a real problem that has lead to very unfortunate lynching of cow smugglers. This is sad and the article is only expressing this view. At no point the article of media has justified street violence. > "What does a ‘Hindutva laboratory’ where Muslims live in perpetual fear of Hindus look like? Does it look like a place where a minor Hindu girl jumps into a well to kill herself after months of gangrape by a neighbouring Muslim family? Where her father is found hanging from a tree on the day she is scheduled to give her statement in the court? Where the local police is found to have sided with the Muslim perpetrators and mistreated the Hindu victims?" And tell me what is wrong in taking the side of the girl who killed herself due to gangrape ? > "The almost fully Muslim-populated Nuh district is where most cattle thieves in Palwal enter from. It’s a notorious hub of cattle-smuggling besides many other organised crimes." And again what is wrong with this reporting ? It is just factual. Since majority of India does not eat beef, it is often the Muslims who are in this business and also in the cow smuggling business. > "Mohammad Nizam, who is sitting beside Singh and belongs to a tiny population of Muslims in Sondhad, agrees. 'We eat chicken. We cannot think of touching cow meat,' says Nizam." If at all the article is actually trying to balanced and going against your very claim. Sorry, your horse is not high enough here.
