Not to dismiss your position but I think you might have some sample bias - most 'gamers' are just used to mobile and console and really have no noteworthy IT skills or understanding of what happens behind the scenes.
- munchbunny 6y agoI wasn't assuming that they were particularly savvy at anything. I was just pointing out that the parent(s) being gamers likely means there's a decent change the parent(s) know what they're throwing at the child by handing them Minecraft or Roblox. I know at least one parent who used Minecraft as an opportunity for both the parent and the child to learn to code.
