Source is the arrested militant. FWIW: "Interrogation" in South Asian countries is code for torture. They'd get a pickpocket to admit to 9/11 in a couple hours. So there is zero evidence for the police's far fetched claims.

    As a person writing regularly in Swarajya, I should flag this comment for not adding any value to the discussion and engaging in flamewar. Swarajya is a classical liberal magazine (like USA's Reason Magazine) with a long history and to their credit consistent criticism of all kind of politics. It is surely right leaning but comparison with Breitbart is ridiculous.

        You are gaslighting. These articles are about OpIndia and not Swarajya. Wikipedia has immense left wing bias just like the NY Times. The NY Times has made colossal mistakes and takens years or decades to rectify them or sometimes just leaves them standing e.g. the Ukraine Famine on 1930 where their reporter just ignored it and took them 50+ years to rectify it. By your metric the NY Times be black listed on Wikipedia. Newslaundry whom you cite as the source of OpIndia's misdeeds has a huge list of false reporting but they get a pass because of their left-wing orientation.

  India practically invented idea of "Hawala", so there is no need to be surprised that millitant groups active in Indian border region might be using bitcoin. The article provides very little useful information. The militants might also be using can of coke, Toyota cars and Gasoline from Shell. It is an irrelevant point.

In your view everything the police do, which is this case is the special terror cell of the Bangladesh National Police is suspect and tainted. What would be the motivation for them to make this up? The hatred for law enforcement and tainting everything the do with the "obtained under torture" brush is mindless and zero-value trope.
