Show HN: Generate 3D device mockups in a quick and engaging way
- this_augis 6y agoHey, I’m the founder & developer at Morflax. I have been working on THINGS for the last 3 months because I wanted an easy and quick way to generate device mockups for my websites and presentations. When I started building this app, I didn't think I could achieve this result. Downloading a lot of mockups and customizing them on Photoshop was great pain. So together with a 3D designer, I made devices & scenes models available directly in the browser. With THINGS you can easily present your website or app. Our goal with Morflax is to make 3D available for all, make it simple and easy to use. How it works? - Choose & customize the device - Select & customize scene - Upload your design - Customize lighting & background - Export image in jpg or png formats Generate mockups in a quick and engaging way using only your browser. Forget spending your time and money on Photoshop/Figma/Sketch mockups and 3D software source files, get everything in one place... Clay, emoji, realistic style, everything is here! Please give me any feedback or any questions you have about the project and I would love to answer them. All the best, Augis
- dhumph 6y agoNice stuff! As some who has needed to put ux mockups into images of phones this is cool. A few thoughts. -On the home be numb-down clear: turn this(pictur of image) into this(pic of image on devices) -the 3d is cool, but I can also see a lot of benefit to having just real photos that I can put my image in.. i’ve Plopped many designs into stock photos ..this takes an hour or so - to the above point..consider adding a one time cost. I know subscriptions are the rage for us focus on says recurring revenue, but it’s frequently not what users want. Good luck!
- this_augis 6y agoI glad you like it and thank you for your feedback. I will update the landing page with more clear presentation soon. Stock photos are a good option too, but we will be focusing only on 3D mockups. You can now buy a lifetime deal for a one-time cost, but it's limited. I will think more about one-time payments in the near future. Thank you!
