Cool - a chance to vent. Well, here's my helpful suggestion: maybe they should get the people who position the log out buttons for some websites to place the exit buttons on zoom or refresh buttons for forms - log outs are generally in the last place on a menu that is hidden off screen. Sometimes you have to right click somewhere for the option to appear. Or even Google 'how do I log out of XYZ?' to work out how to log out. For these sites, the pre-launch user group testing probably has a threshold of 60 seconds for new users to work out how to leave & if the bulk of test subjects manage to do it in under that time, it's back to the drawing board.
