Energy use in a legal cannabis indoor farm is generally 30% of the overall cost to grow indoors. (HPS lights, dehu's, veg lights, etc)
Anecdotal legal example: 9,000 sq ft Tier II averages about $7,000 a month in power. That might average 150 lbs per month (multiroom grow) boutique quality output ($277.5k).
TL,dr: pretty decent value. Nearly something for nothing in most areas but the lights and major equipment like A/C's. Still though: $7k for $277k a month.
