Very off topic: I had a very bizarre experience staring at the video preview photo before playing it. It looked like the body of the slug was becoming progressively darker the longer I stared, and then I couldn't unsee it back to the original color I initially saw. Is there a name for that kind of visual quirk?

Shadows could make it act like the "Checker shadow illusion. " Both of these are aspects of human visual "Color constancy" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_constancy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_constancy
