This and since covid it doesn't even have to be SV. I know our company is looking for people "globally" now and what it really means is that it has to be within reasonable time differences to existing offices. But if you're off by a few too many hours but willing to work the time zones closer to the offices, then we are OK with that. It does make sense to me as long as it's not too far off. It has to be livable. What that means I guess depends on your life situation and whether you are a night owl or an early bird for example and what covid opening hours are in stores etc.
