The "electricity per transaction" idea they have in mind is so flawed, I don't even know where to begin. I just don't understand this burning hatred towards something like bitcoin. People attribute "greed" to the rise of bitcoin's usage, is that supposed to be a moral high road they're taking by avoiding "greed"? People love woke-shaming people into not doing something. Isn't this problem of "greed" going to be present in every system that needs to be bootstrapped from the scratch?
