Transnational electricity transmission doesn’t get enough credit - right now I suspect the ROI is an order of magnitude beyond that of utility scale storage.
- FooHentai 6y agoEast/West HVDC certainly has the potential to multiply the utility of solar installations and cut down a lot of the need for storage. Of course you may still have issues when you reach ocean borders, but there's a good chunk of the northern hemisphere where it looks like a great fit.
