I’ve noticed this personally as much more pronounced when online—-chat, text—-where other social clues are not present. I don’t believe this is anything new. This suggests to me the idea that text based conversations give us the volume of materials to analyze. But even that can’t be the whole story. So. What else makes this interesting or timely research now?
