So this guy just straight up missed the euro crisis or something? You cannot talk about growth in Europe without talking about the effect the Euro has on exports. Germany can export it's super high quality products across the world with an artificially deflated currency because the currency is tied to weak countries like Italy (and by the way, then invest that surplus in really crappy ways). Meanwhile Italy can't compete in the global market for exports because their currency is held artificially high because it is tied to Germany.
