I think you either didn't read or misunderstood the information which was uncovered.
It's not "just bias" by journalists, not just "be nice to the politician to keep access". It's way, way beyond.
It is _outright corruption_, by a government, of the world's largest press network, and of the BBC. It's also, dar I say, complicity with the geopolitical and human consequences of that governments actions.

To summarize if you didn't look it over :
Documents and work by investigative journalists show there were secret public tenders, since the 70's, and still ongoing by a series of shadowy outfits, paid with public funds, full of "former" PSYOPS soldiers (even the outfit location were false). The tenders amount over the years in the hundreds of millions of pounds.
The goal of the tenders were to distribute news written by said "former" psyops soldiers, under the guise of/and name of journalists from Reuters wire service and BBC - amongst other crimes against objectivity. The money was, in the case of Reuters, even "laundered" through a foundation set up by it's majority ownership.
At least one MP formally and directly asked the Foreign Office about it in the parliament chamber, only to get a "non-denial". He then got a false media-scandal got dropped by his party.
Sorry if part of this summary is not totally accurate, I was going for brevity. The document cash is humongous.

While not English myself, I object to it on the grounds if there is no press free from political or monetary corruption, there will be, further down the line, no true freedom in the west, at best mass manipulation.
Much worse, this destroy the credibility of actions by good people there and elsewhere working for the common well being as soon as these press organs publish an article. A laundry list of collaborationist accusations can be easily thrown at them and stick, with reason, because of such corruption.
Because they participated in that, the BBC and Reuters have become as bad as RT. To add insult to injury, RT is being officially run by the Russian Ministry of Information. It can even boast to be "transparent" about any subjectivity.
