This quote is from your GP post, and I read this as arguing against having the mechanism for getting this payload in the language (and hence the compiler itself), so my language was intended. Am I misunderstanding?
- coder543 6y agoAh. I think I see what you were saying now. The word “elide” has different connotations to me than the word “omit”. Zig’s omission of error context is something I agree is problematic. (This could just be a quirk of my own vocabulary)
