Speaking of Zen and QM, I think a similar point of view is held by the french philosopher Michel Bitbol[0] in his introduction of QM to the Dalaï Lama : Quantum Theory, a theory with no view of the world ?[1]. Michel Bitbol is quite a thought provoking scholar (at least for me). Unfortunately there aren't many of his books translated in English.
