Students Are Easily Cheating 'State-of-the-Art' Test Proctoring Tech
- sdfhbdf 6y agoIt does feel like the whole proctored exam concept is a gamification for micromanagers, it perfectly illustrates that the taught subject has worthless assessment if it relies on not having access to knowledge. The expectations have to be adjusted in the remote world - you should expect students to check stuff in the internet and teach them how to utilise this knowledge how to recognise meaningful information from SEO spam. The basic knowledge can be assesed with aggressive time limits on online exams that dont leave you enough time to check in Google. My uni has measured that it giving more than 40 seconds per question opens up to students having enough time to communicate with each other or use some unwanted aid. We have to change the way we educate. It’s been a year already...
