Why Tim Wu’s appointment has Big Tech rattled
- justinclift 6y agoTo me, it sounds like a step in the right direction. :) Google, FB, (etc) being able to unilaterally suspend people's accounts without any way of recovery (happened to me when I moved country) is just the tip of the iceberg of what's wrong. Being able to lawyer up and draw things out for years has given these companies far too much arrogance towards their users. Hopefully meaningful changes occur - even if extraordinarily expensive for the tech companies - to bring them into line with other public utilities. ;)
