Online school reviews reflect school demographics more than effectiveness
- geoduck14 6y agoThe study shows that comments that are "indicative of 2 parents and involvement in the PTA" correlate with high test scores. BUT these are NOT the schools that I should send my kids to? Why?
- MikeUt 6y ago"GreatSchools [..] has updated its rating systems [..] to improve its effectiveness in providing information that minimizes inequity in educational opportunities." Is this intentionally vague? How does updating a rating system minimize inequity?
- TechBro8615 6y agoIt seems that if you’re in a position to read school reviews and choose where you or your child goes to school, you’ll be okay. It’s the people who have no choice that get screwed.
