- iujjkfjdkkdkf 6y agoGoogle's job is to get people to click on ads, and preserve their position by keeping a big portion of the world's elite tech talent well fed and docile.
- Arnt 6y agoSpoken like the CEO of Excite. You know the story? If you don't, I can tell you how it ended: His simplistic ideas about clicking and ads led to the company's demise.
- swirepe 6y agoGoogle is an advertising company.
- w0mbat 6y agoThat's kind of a meaningless statement. Any search-ad revenue Google gets is a side-effect of users going to Google for good quality search results. Worse results would lead to fewer users, fewer ads sold, less revenue. The ad money is in fact a major motivation to provide top quality search at all costs.

I did the Noogler training too. What you said might have been true before "google it" became the verb people use for "search".
