re: regulation. This is the problem with fission. but not necessarily so with fusion. The reason is that unlike fission, where it's impossible to a small company to get a handle on fuel and build a fission plant in a less-regulated country, with fusion that becomes a lot more approachable. But I am just as skeptical as you about the future of fusion and fission in the US and Europe.
