I've seen agile/scrum implemented very well exactly once. I could say some clichés about well-meshed gears. It was a great experience to work within. Was it just a well built team or did agile/scrum actually help? I think the latter based on the general ease and stability of our software releases. I've subsequently seen agile/scrum very poorly several times within both large and small companies. I like working within Agile/Scrum - when it's implemented well. But that's rare.
