Rejuvenating WordPress Through GraphQL
- muglug 6y agoThis is not rejuvenation, just as adding a new coat of paint to an early-Victorian mansion doesn’t make it any younger. If adding GraphQL helps make WordPress more palatable to clients then knock yourself out.
- shiftpgdn 6y agoThere is still plenty of tread on the tires for WordPress. It's cheap (free), easy to deploy, infinitely customizable and extensible, and has a monsterous userbase. I still have yet to see any CMS software come close, not even Ghost.
- muglug 6y agoOh yeah, I don’t see that Victorian house going anywhere either. It’s very easy to make a CMS with a more elegant & higher-quality codebase, but it’s very hard to create a CMS with better features, and impossible at this point to create a CMS with a larger ecosystem.

- ptrik 6y agoInteresting narrative from a database schema to GraphQL schema. 1 typo noted: but nevertheless thay are a distinct entity.
