The ad company isn't going to trust any data which is routed through the backend of your web server. Otherwise spoofing page views/clicks is trivial.
The next step is to get a CDN to proxy both www.example.com and tracker.example.com and promise to be independent, or for the ad company to operate the proxy themselves.
