Postgres Notify for Real Time Dashboards
- kureikain 6y agoWe made extensive use of Postgres notify for our app https://hanami.run https://hanami.run We have a Rails app and a mail server. The mail server has to be able to refresh its configuration from the Rails UI(new domain, new inbox, DKIM etc). so every change in Rails notify the mail server(which is listen on postgres) it works great for us. We process about 8000 emails per days just fine now.
- epberry 6y agoWow thanks very much for sharing the numbers. I've also found this mechanism supremely useful for little internal buses or services.
